People often think I have it so easy with the twins, but man I wish they could be around when they're teething. I can always tell when they are teething because they get so congested. Their noses get so runny and they get awful coughs. Poor Wes gets so bad that he always needs breathing treatments because his breathing is so labored. The pediatrician makes sure we always have prescriptions on hand for him for when his breathing gets bad since we know how to handle it at home. It can be very scary at times so I was glad Ed was off for Memorial Day and able to run to Walgreens to buy a new nebulizer so we could give him the breathing treatment to get him feeling better. After a treatment, he was down for a nap on my lap:
Since Wes was doing better and it was so stinkin' hot outside we took the kids outside in hopes to dry out the twins congestion a bit, plus we needed to celebrate Memorial Day! The kids all like to do their own things when we play outside, Tenley loves to swing and play in the "tree house", Wes loves to play with the bikes and cars, while Ev just walks around aimlessly and occasionally plays:
Sissy gave Wes his last breathing treatment of the day:
We had a super low-key Tuesday. So low-key that I'm pretty sure the only things we did were brush our teeth (the twins fav thing to do) and nap:
Wednesday was a pretty big day around here...it was Tenley's last day of Preschool! Can you believe it?! She has grown so much since her first day back in September:
I'm amazed at how much she has learned this year and so proud of her! She is such a sweet, fun loving girl who loves to learn and make people laugh. She definitely challenges my patience on the daily, but I wouldn't change her a bit. If she is capable of learning this much from 2 hours of school 2 days a week, then I'm really excited to see how she does next year when she goes 3 days a week. For the time being I'm super excited to spend the summer with my super sassy gal:
While Tenley was at school I got in some cuddle time with the babes:
Tenley was so excited when I picked her up because she couldn't wait to tell me all about her ice cream party at school. She was also very excited about the bookmark Miss Marsha gave her for summer reading:
To celebrate school being out we went to Mission Hills Splash Pad to cool off once Ed got home:
Wes was being mischievous Friday:
The twins napped together and looked so sweet:
(I'll never get sick of pictures like this.)
We broke out Tenley's butterfly chair and the kid's fought over it:
We spent Thursday night cooling off in the kiddie pool. Well, Tenley and Wes cooled off while Ev just roamed around and did her own thing:
(Tenley giving me some sass. She looks so cute doing it, though!)
I took the kids for a wagon ride Friday morning, then we played in the backyard all morning:
Seeing Ev in Tenley's old swim suit gave me flashbacks to chunky 7 month old Tenley being stuffed into the 18-24 month suit and I can't believe it is big on Evie! I miss the days of Tenley being my baby:
For once, we were 10 minutes early for dance class. It. Was. A. Miracle. Once we got there we realized we forgot her dance bag! Go figure. Ed had to turn around and go get it while I stayed back with Tenley in hopes that she's go in barefoot, but she didn't want to go in until Daddy could come back and watch her. Girlfriend wasn't having it. Thank God we live so close because by the time he got back with her shoes class was just beginning and all was well again when she got a ribbon wand in front of the mirror:
After dance we headed to Reunion Trails Park and the twins loved it, especially Ev. Ev loved touching the fountains and splashing her feet in the puddles, but Tenley hated it because there was "too many people". She preferred the actual park where it wasn't so crowded:
After bath time, Wes looked so cute walking around in his zebra hooded towel:
We had a relaxing and lazy Sunday; which was absolutely perfect. The girls entertained me with their styling skills; they sure do love accessories:
Until next time! :)
